Interfaith Prayer Vigil

The Oxford Interfaith Center, Hillel at Miami, the Sikh Student Association, and the Middle Eastern Student Association are members of the faith-based community in Oxford who believe in humanity, who believe in peace, and who stand collectively to fight against all forms of hate. We are joining together to support every person that makes up this remarkably diverse community, and to affirm that hate is unequivocally not okay and never justified.

The Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Peace aims to support those community members who have experienced aggression, violence, fear, exclusion, and intimidation simply for being a member of a minority-based population while promoting the notion that all people deserve to live in peace.

Spiritual Wellness Panel

With the implementation of “Wellness Days,” students at Miami University were given days off of class to practice wellness. In an effort to help students understand wellness and incorporate it into their daily lives, Hillel put on a series of wellness-themed programs, covering physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

Join Hillel, The Oxford Interfaith Center, and members of the faith community of Oxford and Cincinnati for a guided panel discussion on spiritual wellness. We discuss what spiritual wellness looks like to different faiths and belief systems, and how we can achieve it together.

Panelists: Nina Emlemdi, Prince Johnson, Amitoj Kaur, Marc van Bulck, and Yair Walton

Moderated by Geneva Blackmer

Antisemitism + Social Media

Journalist, Eve Barlow, author and educator, Ben Freeman, and jeweler, Debbie Lechtman, have transformed their Instagram pages into a space for Jewish advocacy and education. They've put their personal and professional lives at risk all in the name of standing up and speaking out against antisemitism. Moderated by Yoshi Silverstein from the Mitsui Collective.

Women Crush Wednesday’s

Women Crush Wednesday is an opportunity to highlight women leaders doing incredible work in the areas of arts, tech, science, community work, and/or activism. Our goal for this program is to give students an opportunity to not only meet women changemakers, but afford students the opportunity to actively engage with these leaders in a way they wouldn't be able to otherwise ----to be inspired, gain motivation, and maybe find themselves in the narrative of someone else's journey.
