Meet Our 3 New Board Members!

Hillel at Miami is proud to announce the onboarding of 3 new board members! Dr. Jenna Kamrass Morvay, Cindy Ginsberg, and Jeff Blumental, ‘06. Read below for some more insight into each of our new board members!

Dr. Jenna Kamrass Morvay is currently a faculty member in the department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry in the College of Education, Health, and Society at Miami University. Her research is concerned with issues of equity and diversity in teacher education, as well as how antisemitism is addressed in equity-oriented teacher preparation. Jenna has also served as a member of the Center Stage Board Associates (the Young Professional Board) of the Cincinnati Opera since 2018. In her work with Center Stage, she has helped to plan events, served as a member of the Opera’s Artistic Planning committee, and led discussion groups surrounding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for other CSBA members.

Jenna is an advocate for Jewish students at Miami. She recently worked with a group of faculty to revise the University policy surrounding absences for religious observances, after several students in her department asked her for advice and advocacy. The revised policy was approved in October by the University Senate Executive Committee and is currently waiting for larger Senate approval. She offers a wealth of experience with student identity formation, as well as the perspective of a current Miami faculty member, to the Board of Directors of Hillel at Miami.

Cindy Ginsberg is from Westfield Indiana and currently works for Schneck Medical Center in Seymour Indiana. Cindy has worked in banking and healthcare in various roles for 25 years focusing mostly on payroll and human resource areas. Cindy attended Indiana University Southeast and majored in Communications. Her background includes 3 years as a Jewish communal professional working at the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis and the Jewish Community Relations council as Executive Assistant to the CEO’s along with office management. Cindy remains involved with the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis as an independent contractor helping with administrative duties.

Along with her husband Neal, Cindy is a 20-year member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation where she has served in the past as Sunday school secretary. Neal and Cindy are the proud parents of three sons, Cameron (KatieJo), Cooper and Cyle, ’25 and current Jewish Life intern. They are the doting grandparents to one grandson Colson. When not working or spending time with family Cindy enjoys volunteering.

Jeff Blumental is originally from Youngstown, Ohio and graduated from Miami University in 2006 with a degree in Finance. He moved to Cincinnati 10 years ago after living in Cleveland and Detroit. Jeff was the Director of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati Young Adult Division and inaugural Director of the Cincinnati Jewish Teen Collective, before starting Nachshon Consulting focused on employee benefits, management, and retention. This has led to his growing career in Health Insurance. Jeff loves playing guitar, singing, hiking, and spending time with friends and most of all his wife, Melanie, and two sons, Jacob (age 7) and Simon (age 4).
