Ramadan Break-Fast: Breaking the Fast, Building Community
 
            Thirteen sponsoring organizations (listed below) at Miami University are proud to announce that on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 7:30 pm there will be a Ramadan Break-Fast program. Ramadan Break-Fast: Breaking the Fast, Building Community is a chance for students, faculty, staff and community members of all religious and cultural backgrounds to break the Ramadan fast while meeting each other, breaking down barriers and building a community of understanding. The free program will educate participants on the holy months of Islam’s Ramadan and Judaism’s Tishrei as well as elements of fasting traditions in Christianity.
            This multicultural night of education, understanding and food is open to everyone. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm and is free. The location of the event is the Hillel at Miami University, 11 E. Walnut Street, Oxford, Ohio, 45056.
