Throughout the week of April 12th thru the 16th here is a series of great programing.  It would be great to see a good turnout.  We know that students are busy so we will highlight some of the larger events in bold!

Tuesday, April 13

Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film

Professor Mila Ganeva will introduce the film and lead the discussion following the film.
 
Wednesday, April 14
Survivor Soulmates
Holocaust survivor, David Gewirtzman and Rwandan Genocide survivor, Eugenie Mukeshimana  will speak about their experiences, their roads to forgiveness and hope, and the strength of the human spirit.

David Marwell, Director, Museum of Jewish Heritage
"The Search for Josef Mengele"

Marwell will describe the international manhunt and forensic investigation into the whereabouts and identification of the infamous Auschwitz doctor using newly declassified, and previously unknown material from the case files.
 
Sponsored by the Center for American and World Cultures, the Department of History Holocaust Education Fund, the Jewish Studies Program, and the Hillel Foundation at Miami University with support from the Department of Communication, Department of Comparative Religion, Department of English, Department of GREAL, Department of Philosophy, the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies, Lights-on-Campus, and the Office of Diversity Affairs

Khaled Abu Toameh

Khaled Abu Toameh, an Arab Muslim, is a veteran award-winning journalist who has been covering Palestinian affairs for nearly threedecades.Abu Toameh currently works for the international media, serving as the "eyes and ears" of foreign journalists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Abu Toameh's articles have appeared in numerous newspapers around the world, including The Wall Street Journal, US News & World Report and The Sunday Times of London. Since 2002 he has been writing on Palestinian affairs for The Jerusalem Post.
