What's better than a live jam session on a random Saturday night? Jammin' in the Succah that's what I'm talking about. Come on out to the East Quad Succah from 6:30-8:30 Thursday, Oct. 8 and celebrate Sukkot and the new year with a little Jewish Jam! If you play an instrument bring it along and if you don't...well its never too late to learn. We will also be noshing and decorating the Succah. Bound to be a fabulously good time!

Pizza in the Hut Wednesday, October 7th, 6:30pm at Sukkah on East Quad..join RRG for Jewish discussion and FREE pizza!

AND FYSH...come build a sukkah IN a sukkah (this was Rob's idea haha)...Tuesday, 10/6 @ 6:30 at the Sukkah on East Quad
Special Programs
If you are still interested in getting PAID to do a special program for Hillel, you're in luck! The deadline has been extended until October 23rd! Applications are available online. Please take another look at this exciting opportunity!

Special Projects (Mini Internships):
A new and exciting idea this year invented by our very own director! Hillel is looking special project interns from a variety of backgrounds. Each intern will put together a program based on his or her interests. An example could be a Literature major bringing in a Jewish author to give a talk about a recent book, an art student could create an exhibit of his/her work in our building, a business major could give a talk on business ethics and Jewish text or a band could have a rock concert in our backyard with Israeli music. The options are endless! There will be a second application for all program proposals. In addition, each student selected will receive a $100 budget to complete his or her program as well as $200 compensation.

Social Justice Shabbat
In honor of Freedom Summer this weekend, Hillel/AJS will be having Social Justice Shabbat services. One of the speakers, Miriam Cohen Blackwell will be speaking during Shabbat. Let's make sure we give this important event the attendance it deserves, so we can make a difference together as a community!

Blanket Buddies
Blanket Buddies will be this Thursday at 7 pm at Hillel! This will be the last one before Fall Break, so please come help out!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
