Ohio Loves Israel Summit 2007 at Ohio State
Where: Ohio State University
When: THIS Sunday, October 21st from 11:30am-7pm

The event will be filled with Israeli culture, food, fun and most of all advocacy. A few things that you should know. Lunch and dinner will be provided and best of all the event is FREE!!!! At this year's event we will feature Israeli Dancing and Arabic dance, Israeli food for lunch and Bedouin food for dinner, and the key-note speaker is Remedy Ross, previously of The Wu-Tang Clan.

This is an excellent opportunity for gaining Israel knowledge not only for advocacy purposes but for a better understanding of the country itself. This year's summit will focus a lot on culture and understanding the similarities and differences that Israel faces with its neighbors and inner neighbors.

Registration forms and up-to-date information can be found on the program's website.

Rides available from Oxford on Sunday. Gas reimbursement available for those who attend on the way back from break, you must speak with Amy and let her know after you register.

THE LINE Film, Discussion & Dinner
Where Is the Line of Sexual Consent? What Does it Mean to Be a Sexual Person Today?
On Thursday, October 25th at 6:30 pm, filmmaker Nancy Schwartzman will show clips from her film "The Line" followed by a discussion of these issues and free dinner. "The Line" is a documentary that explores sexuality, consenet and the sexual contract today. Nancy writes, "My own experience with sexual violence is the point of departure for this exploration. Young women grow up in a world of constantly shifting sexual norms. As old taboos yeild to new opportunities there ahs been every greater sexual freedom for women. But the new freedom has also created new dangers....I am exploring the edges and nuiances of consent and look at risk in sexual relationships."

This event is co-sponsored by Hillel at Miami University*, AEPhi Sorority*, Association of Women Students*, Community Counseling and Crisis Center/Butler County Rape Crisis Program, DVASH - Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati, Interfaith Circle*, Miami University Women's Center*, and Spectrum [* indicates financial support]
