Get to Know Others as We Share in a Meal
Hillel and the Association of Jewish Students are two of 27 co-sponsors of Ramadan Break Fast: Breaking the Fast, Building Community. This program is for
students, faculty, staff and community members to break the Ramadan
fast while meeting each other, breaking down barriers and building a
community of understanding. The placement of the program on one of the
days of Ramadan honors the Muslim holy month and the Jewish holy month
of Tishrei (these months coincide this year). The program will also
educate participants on the holy months of Ramadan and Tishrei as well
as elements of fasting traditions in Christianity.
