Dr. Jan Gross Lecture

Fear: Anti-Semitism in Poland after Auschwitz

Lecture - TODAY Dr. Jan
Gross
of Princeton University will speak at Miami on
Monday, March 19 at 5pm in Leonard Theater in
Peabody Hall.
Professor Gross will speak on his recent
book, Fear: Anti-Semitism in Poland after
Auschwitz: An Essay in Historical
Interpretation. This
program is co-sponsored
by the
Center for American and World Cultures and the
Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education with
support from the
College of Arts and Science.
Spots are still available for dinner with Dr.
Gross tonight after the lecture. Dinner is at

Ice Ceam Come to Hillel this
Thursday, March 22nd for some ice

Holocaust
Poster Writing We need
as many people as possible on Sunday,
March 25th at noon in MacMillan 212 (The
Great Room) to help prepare our posters
for the seal. Food will be provided. For

Trip
to Jungle Jim's For
anyone who would like to do some Passover (or
other) food shopping, we will be caravaning
out to Jungle Jim's on Sunday, March 25th
at 5:30pm. For more information or to
reserve a spot talk to Rosie
Landau. We can either meet at Hillel
or pick you up from your house.
The Executive Board meets each week at
6:30pm Sundays at Hillel. The board meetings
are open to everyone to attend.

Curious about Judaism? Join us for some fun, informal learning and FREE food.
Shabbat Services and FREE dinner
Join us on Friday, Mar. 23rd for student-led
services at 6:00 pm and FREE dinner at
7:00.
All are welcome for services, dinner or both.
Dinner is free and kosher. This week's menu
is fish, pasta, vegetables, matzah ball soup,
and Paula's famous brownies. Vegan option
will be available as always. This week we
are pleased to be offering Shabbat as part of
A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Week,

the Ancient Irsaelites Really
Believe?" Dr. Richard S.
Hess, Professor and Chair of Old Testament
and Semantic Languages at the Denver Seminary
will be at Miami on Saturday, March 24th for
a dinner and lecture. The dinner costs $28
per person ($20 for students) and will be in
the 1809 room at 6pm. The lecture is free and
will be immediately after dinner in 115
