The Jewish Arts & Culture Colloquium presents Dr. Eric Goodman, Tuesday, October 11, 6:30 pm, room 40 Irvin Hall.
At 6:30 pm, on Tuesday, October 11, Director of Creative Writing Eric Goodman will read from his novel, In Days of Awe. In Days of Awe tells the story of Jewish Joe Singer, a star pitcher suspended indefinitely from baseball for being involved with gamblers. It is more about redemption than baseball, although there is some of both. According to L.A. Style, "In Days of Awe is that rare novel indeed, a resonant contemplation of ideas wedded to superb storytelling, a thoughtful page-turner--and not just for baseball fans, either." The reading will take place in 40 Irvin, and will be followed by a discussion period.
