- Hillel is working with local and national agencies to provide the most effective assistance to those affected by Hurricane Katrina in the Jewish and non-Jewish communities. Our Hillel is joining with Hillels across the country to raise funds to assist the relief effort as well as doing short and long-term volunteering. As you may know, there are at least 31 students from universities in New Orleans who are at Miami for the semester. Please let those students know that Hillel is a resource for them, regardless of religious background.
