A Note From Your JCSC:
It’s my job to figure out what the Jewish community and the Miami community at large wants to see happening on campus. If you don't know me yet, or even if you do, I want to take you out for coffee or ice cream to meet, catch up, and just see what's going down. Send me a line at 523 5190 or fellow@muhillel.org and let me know what's best for you.

Save Hillel's Brownies
Do you come to Hillel each week because of the DELICIOUS brownies?  Well I have some news for you!

DUNCAN HINES IS GOING DAIRY!  This presents a HUGE problem because our beloved brownies will no longer be pareve.  In Jewish dietary law pareve items are made without milk allowing them to be eaten with a meat meal.  With this new change in Duncan Hines brownie mixes we will no longer be able to have brownies for dessert because they will be considered dairy.  To keep our Shabbat meals kosher we cannot have dairy brownies with a meat meal.  If you are as devastated as I am, you will go to this website and protest this new change!

TO SAVE THE BROWNIES (our mix is called “Family Style Brownies, Chewy Fudge”):

1. Go to:
http://www.pinnaclefoodscorp.com/contactpinnacle/ContactUs.Aspx?CommentBrandName=duncanhines

2. Fill out the form
            Subject: Concern
Enter UPC code for brownies: 4420931132

3. In message box let Duncan Hines know how many customers they would lose by acting on this change!

Every person counts!  Thanks for doing your part to keep brownies on our menu for Shabbat!

If you have any questions, ideas on how to spread the word, or just want to vent about brownies, contact Shaina Rood at Happyduck@aol.com

Hillel is now Wireless!!
The Hillel building now has wireless internet access.  Come and study, hangout and surf the web at Hillel for free.  The name of the wireless access is Hillel Wireless and the password is chutzpah.

*NEW* for this year!
In each edition of the Jewspaper we will be "hiding" a password.  When you find the password, email Admin@muhillel.org with the subject JEWSPAPER PASSWORD and in the body, type the word of the week and your name.  Each week those who respond will be entered into a raffle drawing for prizes to be held at the end of each month.  Thanks to all those who responded last week with the password “Rauch.”
