Upcoming Events
-Welcome Back BBQ with free food, dj, games and much fun. Monday, August 22, 2005 at Cook Field at 5 pm. Join us, bring friends, make new friends and catch-up with other friends. This event is open to all. Questions? Email Bryan Markowitz at Miami@icubed.com

-Welcome Back Shabbat and Free Shabbat Dinner. Friday, August 26, 2005 at Hillel at 6 pm. Celebrate our first Shabbat of the year with our first free Shabbat dinner of the year. -Miami Students for Israel Welcome Back BBQ. Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Hillel at 1 pm. Eat more free food, see friends, get info and have input into Miami Students for Israel.  Hear about some exciting programs this fall. This program is open to all. Questions? Guest Speaker
-On Monday, Septeber 19, 2005 at 5 pm, Gil Hoffman will speak on behalf of Miami Students for Israel. His speech is titled an "Insider's Look into the Withdrawl from the Gaza Strip." Gil Hoffman is the political correspondent and columnist for The Jerusalem Post, the Middle East's leading English daily. Well-connected to Israeli and Palestinian political leaders, Hoffman has interviewed Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and every major figure across the Israeli political spectrum, and has been interviewed by top media outlets on 6 continents. Join us for this interesting event. **Important information regarding religious services & class attendance, projects and exams.  Miami University has a policy providing for students to miss class and to seek arrangements for coursework due to significant religious holidays. This policy requires that you submit information to each professor within the first two weeks of class. Please go to this link (forthcoming) on our webpage for a letter you can print out and take to each professor so that you will qualify for an excused absence for the High Holy Days.
