YOM KIPPUR BEGINS ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 5 2003
HIGH HOLIDAYS 2003/5764: The High Holidays are approaching. If you are going to be in Oxford for the holidays, join the Miami University community for services and meals. The schedule is below. Please sign-up in advance by coming to Hillel. Each service is $5.00 for students and $10.00 for community members. Blue and Gold Card holders do not have to pay for services. (Please remember to come by Hillel and pay for your blue and gold cards.) If you would like to participate in any of the services or service preparation--read Torah or Haftorah, read something in English or something in Hebrew, open the ark, serve as an usher, etc., please e-mail us at muhillel@muhillel.org so that we can include you.

PARENTS WEEKEND: Parents Weekend is October 10-12, 2003. If your parents still need a place to stay, Hillel offers a Bed and Breakfast service in partnership with the Jewish community of Oxford. The cost is $50.00 per night per person and is a donation to Hillel. Beds are offered on a first come, first served basis,

Don't forget about our Parent's Weekend Brunch on Saturday, October 11, 2003 from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm at Hillel. Bring your parents and join us for the blinzes, bagels, and all the fixings. This year's convention will take place at the UAHC Biennial, November 6-9, 2003, bringing 150 KESHER participants together with 5,000 Reform Jewish activists at the largest event of its kind. Hillel International Board of Governors Chairman Edgar M. Bronfman and Hillel Director of the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Jewish Learning Rabbi Avi Weinstein present the webinar "A Time to be Out of Time: Preparing for Rosh Hashanah" on September 23, 2003 at 4 p.m. EST. Participants will call a toll-free number and log onto a Web site to join in the session, and must be at a computer with Internet access and a phone line. Contact Tova Serkin at tserkin@hillel.org.
