What do we do? The Executive Board of the Association of Jewish Students is a board of student leaders advised by our director.

I am glad to serve the Jewish Student Community at Miami as the AJS President. The programs we have planned for this school year are amazing and include something for everyone. Speakers, meditation, social justice, entertainment, you name it can all be found among the upcoming events. As President my goal is to make our organization more visible on campus, as well as setting the tone for increased cooperation with other organizations that support great causes.
Outside of AJS and Hillel I am involved in Greek Life, the Liberian Women Foundation, and the Miami Rugby squad.

I am very excited to be on the board of AJS. It is important to me that AJS and Hillel have strong ties and that AJS is known around campus. I really would like for our organization to get involved with the Social Justice programs on campus and build an even stronger bond with the Jewish students here at Miami.

I am thrilled to be a part of the AJS executive board this year. I am currently working on creating our new prayer book and working towards more community involvement during services. I also work at Hillel as an intern and teach group fitness classes at the REC. I am a founding sister and past president of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority and spent a semester of her Junior year studying at Tel Aviv University in Israel. I am looking forward to continuing to work on our building's 'makeover', our great new programs for this year and getting to know some of the new faces around Hillel.

I am very excited to participate on the AJS exec board! I am amazed by the variety of individual practices that comprise the Jewish culture, and I hope to plan events to teach others about them. I also lead a program, Blanket Buddies, in which we sew simple quilts to comfort ill children. In working with the programming director, I hope to create and help with many other beneficial and fun programs throughout the year. I am also involved in my honors fraternity, Sigma Alpha Pi, as the financial director. I love to go to Friday night services and see all of my friends there. |
