About Us
Hillel at Miami University provides a wide variety of social, educational, community service, religious, Israel-focused, holiday, and cultural experiences for the students, faculty, staff, and community in Oxford, Ohio. Jewish groups at Miami University including Miami Students for Israel, the Association of Jewish Students, Ladies Night, Jews on Ice Broomball Team, Greek-Jewish Council, and First Year Students of Hillel coordinate programs in the residence halls, student union building, campus quads, and other campus locations. Recent highlight programs include "Kosher Meet Market" sponsored by the Greek-Jewish Council, an alternative Fall Break Trip, and My Big Jewish Wedding.
Jewish holiday celebrations include: Weekly Shabbat services followed by a home cooked dinner, High Holiday services, and Passover seders and kosher for Passover meals. Located one block from campus, the Beerman Jewish Student Center houses a library, computer lab, wireless internet throughout the building, TV and game lounge, chapel, dining room, and Kosher kitchen accessible to students and student organizations.
